Mirra
is an price-conscious, innovative blend of passive and active
adjustments that provide a new reference point in performance,
aesthetics and value. It automatically shapes itself to each user,
while a few simple adjustments fine-tune the fit and feel. The
chair's next-generation innovations all work together in a fresh-looking
chair that's easy to use.
*
Total Back Support: No adjustment needed. The pliable,
elastic TriFlex back supports the entire spine and conforms to
size, posture, and movements.
* Passive
PostureFit performance. A camber shape at the base of
the back gives healthful, comfortable support to the lower back
below the beltline.
* A
Balanced Ride: Easy motion. The Harmonic tilt creates
pivot points at the hip, knee, and ankle to allow easy and natural
movement.
* Advanced
spring technology: Users of all sizes feel equal resistance
while moving anywhere in the wide tilt range; the sitter is always
in control.
* Custom
Seat Comfort: AireWeave suspension. This elastomeric
suspension seat follows the contours of the body, distributes
pressure evenly, and provides aeration.
* FlexFront
seat edge: The sitter adjusts the seat depth without
moving the seat pan; there's never a gap between the seat and
backrest.

| NEW:
Aeron PostureFit option for added ergonomic benefits |
Recently,
Herman Miller introduced "PostureFit," an ergonomic
breakthrough in custom-fitted support that promotes a healthier
posture for superior seated comfort.
PostureFit
delivers support where it's needed most: in the lower back area
below the beltline, where the spine meets the pelvis. It became
available in November 2002 as an option on the Aeron chair.
Dr.
Brock Walker, a spinal care and ergonomic seating specialist,
developed the PostureFit technology based on his work and Herman
Miller and medical research findings. Aeron chair co-designer
Bill Stumpf, along with partner Jeff Weber, designed PostureFit's
application to Aeron.

Aeron
Size/fit Reference Guide |

With
its two-stage pneumatic lift, the Aeron chair has an unprecedented
seat-height range-from a low of 14 3/8 inches (on the A-size chair)
to a high of 20 7/8 inches (on the B and C sizes).
Field
studies using Herman Miller's specially-designed measuring device
examined the relationship between sizes of people and their preference
for chair size (Dowell 1995b). Measurements of 224 people--in
a sample that was evenly distributed between men and women and
that closely reflected the distribution of the U.S. population
on most dimensions--found that of all the anthropometric dimensions
measured, height and weight had the strongest relationship to
chair size preference. The relationship is strong enough to allow
us to recommend a chair size based on those dimensions. |
