The only woman-owned seating manufacturer in the U.S., and a leader in ergonomic product design. Below, selected top-selling models from this line. Notable client standardized on this chair nationwide: UPS. |
| |
To support the neutral body posture, Chairs combine pressure-reducing seat and back contours and a specialized upholstery process, with a system of up to 14 active ergonomic features for maximum adjustability. The Neutral Posture line features the largest range of adjustability in its class, making Neutral Posture chairs the most adjustable you can buy.
Most chairs are designed for the "average" user. However, there's really no such thing as "average" when it comes to body shapes and sizes. Each human body is unique and the only way to properly support a natural, open posture for a variety of user shapes and sizes is with an effective system of active ergonomic adjustments. |
| 1999 Study by Dr. Gordon Voss Texas A & M |
Sitting is defined by a body posture where most of the
body’s weight is “transferred to a supporting area,
mainly by the ischial tuberosities of the pelvis and their
surrounding soft tissues” (Schoberth, 1962). In
addition, some portion of the total body weight will
also be transferred to the backrest, armrests, and to the
floor (Chaffin et al., 1999). |

• You must look at the peak pressure and the
mean pressure.
• Peak pressure is the highest pressure point on
the seat, whereas mean pressure is the average of
all the pressure sensors activated on the pad.
• Peak pressure is the cause for most concern,
since most discomfort occurs there, not the
lower pressure areas. |

| A chair for every type body |

5000 SERIES
Excellent for small size users / shorter users. Chair is scaled to accommodate 5'2"-5'6"
Designed with performance and aesthetics in mind, the 5000 Series will provide hours of comfort for the individual while providing significant visual appeal within the office environment. The seats come in a variety of sizes and styles and the backrest is medium sized with an inflatable lumbar support.
|

6000 SERIES & 8000 Most popular series:
See attached info sheet for size recommendations:
For those who require more support across the upper back and shoulders, the 6000 Series creates a space that cushions the entire upper body. These chairs support the upper-back with an expanded backrest and the lower back with superior inflatable lumbar support while containing enough lateral curve to maintain even contact across your back. Only the quality of comfort surpasses the practicality of design. |

8000 SERIES
The 8000 Series chair sets the standard as an industry leading ergonomic chair, adjusting to fit the 5th to 95th percentile. With its lateral support contours gently cradling you in place, the 8000 Series chair promotes maximum comfort for the sophisticated individual. Combining demands for both support and luxury, the 8000 Series creates a stress reducing sensory experience while promoting movement and for optimum employee performance.
|
| 8600 SERIES |
Ergonomists agree on the necessity of an adjustable headrest for reclined tasks such as prolonged reading, viewing multiple monitors, interviews, or talking on the phone

Without a supportive headrest, static loading of the neck and shoulder muscles occurs, which can lead to headaches and even back pain. Static loading is what happens when the muscles of the neck are forced to support the weight of the head (approximately 10 lbs.) on their own without a soft, adjustable headrest to help reduce the pressures on those muscles.
In addition to the standard Neutral Posture adjustments, all 8600 Series models are standard with a two-way adjustable headrest, which adjusts for height and depth to fit each individual user's unique shape and size. |
| Big & Tall Seating |

BIG & TALL SERIES
Big & Tall chairs are a necessity given changing size and weight demographics. 60% of the US population is now obese. The seating requirements are very different for these employees. You can't expect the traditional one-size-chair of the past to hold up to the new stress conditions. The Big & Tall and Junior series is the only chair on the market with extensive ongoing research aimed to address the new reality.
The big & tall chair is available in the NTune sit / stand system shown below.
The Big & Tall executive task chairs are the culmination of years of design, research and testing in the fields of anthropometry, ergonomics and bariatrics by Certified Professional Ergonomists (CPEs). Some competitors simply place a larger seat and backrest on a common chair control and then roll the dice on warranty coverage. Neutral Posture delivers solutions without compromising strength, durability or appearance. Available with or without our unique, adjustable neckrest. 500 lb rating up to 7' tall |

World Bank Study PDF
Fact: Adding 2 hours of standing time to your work day burns 280 calories. Over a 250 work day year that 20 lbs. Standing with one foot raised using the foot rester puts your body into half the Neutral Posture position which is the same as the free float in space. This is the optimal position for stress free sleeping, working, sitting.
Jerome J. Congleton PHD, working in Public Health Safety Education department at Texas A & M is the authority working with major corporations to alleviate serious turn over and work related injury and illness issues. This new Sit/Stand concept has proven results and the data continues to verify that you can impact your productivity and economic figures by solving misaligned body mechanics at each workstation. If you are a corporation seriously interested in being ahead of the curve, Call Mar to set up a consultation and demo.

| Note the standing figure shown right, by placing one foot off the floor relieves pressure on the lower back disk and places the body in a half neutral posture position. The arms are supported relieving pressure on the upper shoulders and back. Standing burns 40% more calories than sitting. By standing 2 hours a day you burn an additional 280 calories. 280 calories x 250 workdays in a year = 20 lbs. |
